Members needed! The fire department is looking for some dedicated in town citizens to join the fire department. If you have free time and willing to dedicate that time to serving the towns of Newark and East Haven, please contact Chief Morrill for an application. His contact information is listed on the membership page... Fire Inspections The fire department offers free inspections to Newark residents. If you would like to schedule a free home inspection, please call Don at 467.3783. Saftey Tip Please remember to have your chimney cleaned at least once a year. Did you know? If there is snow on the ground you don't need a burn permit. Did you know? Having a 911 sign can save your life. Please contact the fire department if you don't have one. Did you know? Many people have smoke detectors but do not have a CO (carbon monoxide) detector. You can't see it, smell it or taste it but Carbon monoxide could be killing you right now and you wouldn't even know it. For further information, please click here Did you know?
